Good afternoon all. Finally got this blog together…a chip of my earlier one found at HTTP://rillcorp.blogspot.com and hopefuly can shed some light onto these ramblings.
This blog is a journal about self-preservation and endurance. Literally.
This whole bloging thing started for me way back during the days of Xanga. Perhaps my old site is still around…xanga.com/forill…if it is id be suprised. This blog is going to be about a lot of things, mostly about how I got to where I am today…struggles, triumphs and a whole lot of stuff you probably could do without knowing, however, within the struggle, there are things that I’m sure everyone goes through. What prompted me to write this? I turned 27 a few months back and quite frankly, my life has felt somewhat empty. I manage to fill that void by running. A lot (or as much as my frame will allow) I don’t claim to be good at it, but I like to think that I’m better than average. Currently, I am training for a full marathon race, 26.2 miles, that happens on May 2nd in Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s called the “flying pig marathon” probably because someone somewhere said, “I’ll run a marathon when pigs fly” and then he did and so the race was born.
A bit more about myself…I am my favorite topic sometimes…
-I work your average 9-5 (except its 6-3) for one of the 4 major auto-manufacturers in North America.
-I Moonlight as a DJ at a local nightclub and as a wedding emcee to earn extra cash to pay off my ridiculous student loans
-I started running because I didn’t think anyone would miss me if I never came back
Now that the akwardness is out of the way…I have to find a couple pictures to upload to spiff this thing up a bit…look for another post sometime tomorrow.
